The Chinese New Year is the longest and most important holiday celebration in the Chinese calendar, and in 2016 we welcome Year of the Monkey. To mark this auspicious occasion, BurJuman will be holding an array of festivities from February 3 rd to February 15th .

For the very first time in Burjuman, guests can be entertained by the “Dragon Dance” show performance. Mall goers can dance alongside the dragons, which will be spreading well wishes, good luck and prosperity to visitors while ushering in the Chinese New Year. The Dragon Dance will be roaming the mall three times daily for five days from 4 th February to 8 th February.

Lunar New Year will never be complete without decked out festive lights. To herald the festivities, guests at Burjuman can look forward to festive Chinese hanging lanterns decorations at the main atrium.

Key highlight of this year’s festive celebration also includes the ‘Ang-Pao’ prosperity trees with their lucky red envelopes on level S1. Visitors can pick a lucky envelope from the Ang-Pao tree and stand a chance to win instant prizes with every AED 300 worth of purchase. To take part, simply redeem your receipts at the Information Desk on Level S1, then pick a red envelope from the Ang-Pao tree to claim your lucky prize, from February 5th to February 8th
