Mrs. Naomi Williams joins Foremarke as Headmistress

Dubai’s first prep school, Foremarke, continues to set high educational standards, aiming to produce happy, well-rounded pupils. The school, which in its first year of inspection has achieved a Good grade from KHDA, sets itself apart from other UAE schools with an innovative approach to education, where the love of learning is a key focus. A strong emphasis on outdoor activities, sports and performing arts also ensures that pupils receive holistic exposure to both academic and co-curricular activities.

Foremarke School is directly affiliated with Foremarke Hall Preparatory School in the UK, and the ethos, values and standards of Foremarke Hall are espoused by its sister school in Dubai.

Speaking to the media during a press meet, the newly appointed Headmistress of Foremarke School, Mrs Naomi Williams said, “School life has a lasting impact on all pupils, therefore it is essential that the time they spend at their educational institutions should be happy and that children leave with positive memories.  At Foremarke School, this is of primary importance to us and we make every effort to ensure that our pupils enjoy each day in school. This can only happen when pupils feel secure in their surroundings, particularly with respect to self-development. Above all else, we want Foremarkians to enjoy all that the school offers and to look back at their school years with pride, knowing that they gave their best and had great fun doing so.”

With one of the lowest teacher-pupil ratios in Dubai, Foremarke is able to ensure that each pupil receives individual attention. The small class sizes allow every pupil to work at their own pace, whilst teachers are able to focus on each individual pupil, thus ensuring that everyone achieves their potential.

“The system not only ensures that every pupil is successful, but also instils self-confidence and self-assurance in our pupils,” added Mrs. Williams, “A  lot, of course, depends on the teachers, and all our teachers are highly experienced and passionate about bringing out the best in each pupil.”

Besides preparing pupils academically for the best international schools worldwide, Foremarke also focuses on instilling traditional social values in its pupils.  The school is unique in introducing its pupils to formal sit-down dining, encouraging them to socialise with their peers, focus on table etiquette and manners.

The school is also cognisant of the needs of the 21st century learners and Foremarke ensures that all pupils are well prepared for the changing digital world by embedding appropriate technology into the curriculum.

Foremarke School is the sister school of Repton School Dubai, which has achieved great success in its first nine years.  Both schools are owned and operated by Evolvence Knowledge Investments (EKI) which is part of the Evolvence Group, a Dubai based conglomerate which focuses on asset management, education and retail in the Middle East and India.

The CEO and founder of Evolvence Group and Emirati entrepreneur Mr. Khaled Al Mheiri said: “As a group, Evolvence has always sought high standards, and it is no different for our schools. Repton School has set an example of excellence in education, and people can expect the same from Foremarke. We believe in developing well-rounded pupils, who not only excel academically, but who also possess the social skills and leadership qualities necessary in the world beyond school. To achieve this balance, we place equal emphasis on academics, our outstanding sports programmes, outdoor education, arts and music which all build the children’s character and promote a culture of teamwork.”
