The region’s first cross-disciplinary design university, the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) has partnered with FujiFilm Middle East to give students the opportunity to capture inspiring design, art and creative street culture, using the latest, top of the range photography equipment.

By providing DIDI with the latest camera technology, including the top of the range FujiFilm GFX, FujiFilm aims to encourage the new generation of design students to understand and appreciate the art of photography and provide them with the materials to allow them to master the use of complex equipment from the outset.

Hani Asfour, Associate Dean, DIDI said, “We are delighted to be partnering with one of the world’s largest imaging companies to give our students a fantastic introduction to the inspiring world of photography.  It’s essential for any design student to gain first-hand experience in shooting their surroundings and logging anything they see that inspires them or provides them with ideas for future projects.  Thank you to FujiFilm for giving our students the opportunity to work with the best!”

In an agreement between DIDI and FujiFilm, students and faculty have been assigned the task of photographing design inspiration and street style across d3, as well as a taking part in a photography adventure in The Dubai Mall, capturing design within a retail space.
