Music Superstars Enrique Iglesias and Jason Derulo Rev Up Spirits of Fans at Formula E Venue in Riyadh

The American R&B star Derulo belted out global hits in an unforgettable performance, befitting the start of the biggest line-up in sport, live music, entertainment and cultural activities ever staged in the Kingdom.

Global music stars Jason Derulo and Enrique Iglesias performed before a large crowd of enthusiastic fans in Saudi Arabia on Thursday evening as the lights turned green for the Formula E festival of fun surrounding the 2018 ‘Saudia’ Ad Diriyah E-Prix.

The American R&B star Derulo belted out global hits in an unforgettable performance, befitting the start of the biggest line-up in sport, live music, entertainment and cultural activities ever staged in the Kingdom.

“I feel like tonight is going to be very powerful; very, very powerful. Since we are in Saudi Arabia I want to do things a little different,” Derulo told the crowd, before gifting Saudi Arabia the debut performance of a new song.

“We are united by the fact that we are proud of where we are from .. We are going to show how proud of our country and our family we are .. You guys are so beautiful tonight.”

Iglesias, the King of Latin Pop, entertained local and international fans with his catchy anthems. Covering songs from his broad catalogue of songs Iglesias, who sold 170 million records worldwide, offered music lovers a mix of old and new hits including Bailamos, Hero and Heartbeat.

Hip-hop, pop & dance royalty Black Eyed Peas will regale the audience on Friday when the band will share the stage with Egyptian singer-songwriter Amr Diab at the Saudia Ad Diriyah E-Prix venue.

On Saturday evening, fans will be treated to a double-header of sensational acts with both US music heroes OneRepublic and superstar DJ/producer David Guetta headlining the biggest night of the three-day festival.

Today will also see Formula E action on the Ad Diriyah racetrack, including the launch of the all-electric production car racing series, the Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy. Fans can watch drivers compete in qualifying sessions ahead of the finals on Saturday.

Doors to the concert open at 2pm and ticket-holders will be treated to exciting fan zones, entertainment and cultural attractions, as well as unique dining and shopping experience. The concerts start at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday.
