On the occasion of the 49th UAE National Day, du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), is celebrating the event by releasing a special campaign video honoring the nation’s fondest memories over the past 49 years and looking ahead to the coming 50 years.

The short film is a unique testament to UAE National Day, which includes memorable moments lived by UAE residents from various age groups and cultural backgrounds. The content counts up from 1 to 49 (each number represents a year in the UAE union), with each number a memory that was lived in the UAE.

Fahad Al Hassawi, Acting CEO, EITC, said: “National Day will always be the perfect moment to celebrate and reflect on the contributions, vision, and dreams of every person who helped forge our great nation. The efforts and commitment of every resident have positioned us where we are today and are shining examples that ‘impossible’ is not a word associated with the UAE. In line with the vision of the country’s leadership, we now look ahead to the next five decades and begin to explore how every member of Emirati society can be involved in sustained development and moving the country forward.”

As a leading national organization and an advocate of the UAE’s past, present, and future, du is proud to reflect on the UAE’s journey on National Day. du is inviting residents to select a number between 1 and 49 and reveal what makes this number special for them. Moreover, du will also be sharing key milestones and memories of the past 49 year of the union.
For UAE residents who are interested in being part of du’s National Day campaign, they can share their most memorable moments on their social media platforms and using the hashtag #MyUAENumber
