Delve into the ‘Meet me at the Clock’ experience at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah and enjoy an unforgettable virtual tour with an audio guide taking guests on a journey through its past, present and future.

Guests will be invited to commence a virtual tour upon their arrival on the property by activating a link on their phone provided at the time of booking. The virtual tour leads to several of the unique amenities of the hotel including insight into the architecture, history and local culture.

With audio guides available in Arabic, English, and Russian, guests can unravel the history of the Waldorf Astoria brand and hear some of the fabulous stories that shaped its history including the ‘meet me at the clock’ expression, that originated following the Titanic tragedy with The Astoria Clock becoming a common meeting point for those affected.

Sayad Ibrahimli, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah Cluster Director of Marketing and PR said, “Many do not know the fascinating story behind Waldorf Astoria, whether it relates to the brand’s foundation over a century ago or more recently, with the opening of this marvelous property. We wanted to share  bite-sized pieces of this with our guests and hope this innovative virtual tour will enhance their experience with us”.

Once the tour has finished, guests will be able to enjoy one of the finest afternoon teas in the iconic Peacock Alley. The spread will include a selection of seasonal sandwiches, light and fluffy scones with cream and jam as well as delectable patisseries.

Afternoon Tea, a quintessentially British tradition dating back to 1840, has enjoyed global popularity ever since. Pay homage to this tradition and its legacy by indulging in a wonderful selection of sweet and savoury treats, that were showcased during the opening of the first Waldorf Astoria hotels, as they are now.
