Otherworldly glowing creature installations, the Luminéoles, have flown into Expo 2020 Dubai, as part of popular outdoor nighttime light festival Kaleidoscope.

Magnificent seven-metre creatures, which perform lively dances to music, are bringing the Expo 2020 Dubai site to life and providing visitors with a magical immersive experience, as they travel between the concourse at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) and Al Forsan Park from 1830 to 2230 every evening until Monday 8 November.

Initially made for the Fête des Lumières in Lyon, France, Luminéoles are illuminated artworks that take the form of imaginary illuminated beings with wings, which dance in the wind and bring colour to the night sky, stirring visitors’ imaginations.

Grant Reid, Vice President, Events and Entertainment, Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “Through Kaleidoscope, we are thrilled to be bringing Luminéoles to Expo 2020 Dubai, as we celebrate Diwali with rich and diverse festivities that connect with, and inspire, every visitor.”

Kaleidoscope is harnessing the beauty of photography, light and visual arts to powerfully connect with Expo 2020 Dubai’s impactful initiatives and global entertainment, including Diwali and Christmas, to tell powerful stories in immersive ways.
