Hanadi Al Yafei, Director of CSD, reflected on the academic year 2023-2024: “As our students embark on their educational journey for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year, we stand at a pivotal juncture. It’s more than classrooms and books; it’s about laying down a strategic framework for their holistic well-being. We are deeply committed to setting new paradigms of child safety and welfare, as our focus isn’t just on the year ahead, but on laying solid foundations for the future.”

Al Yafei Added: “pioneering measures against both traditional bullying and cyberbullying, fostering collaborations, and utilising innovative tools to ensure a harmonious and safe learning environment for every child. It’s imperative for educators, parents, community leaders, and stakeholders to rally behind this mission.”

“Beyond academic pursuits, it’s crucial to instil core values and responsible digital habits in our young generation. In the face of an increasingly digital world, raising awareness of and adopting proactive measures against cyberbullying and other online threats becomes essential. As we navigate these digital challenges, it is equally important to nurture our children’s well-being, ensuring they are safeguarded from inappropriate influences, whether they manifest in the playground or in all forms of media.” the CSD director highlighted.

Concluding her remarks, Al Yafei noted,: “In alignment with the UAE’s longstanding efforts and our shared aspirations, we aim to create an educational journey that champions not just academic milestones, but also the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our children.”
