Gear up for the new year with a weekend of motorsports at Yas Marina Circuit

Round 2 of the long-awaited Emirates Drift Championship & Round 2 of the Yas Racing Series – Both set to return to Yas Marina Circuit, promising a weekend filled with racing action to kick off the 2024 racing calendar.

From January 5th, the circuit will host a total of five competitions throughout the weekend. As Abu Dhabi welcomes the first motorsport event of 2024, drivers will compete in the highly anticipated round 2 of the Emirates Drift Championship, followed by the Gulf Radical Cup, Clio Cup Middle East, UAE Time Attack, and the prestigious Gulf ProCar Championship

Fans can catch the thrilling sideways action of the Emirates Drift Championship, adding a new level of excitement to the two-day festivities taking place at the iconic circuit. As the EDC wrapped up the nail-biting season opener in Liwa, RedBull driver Haitham Alhadidi eyes his second victory at Yas Island on Saturday night.

The free to enter event promises a weekend of fun for families coming down to Yas Marina Circuit with live music, games and activities for all ages, and delicious delicacies at food truck stations at the YAS Fanzone.

Whether avid racing fans or casual spectators, the high-octane weekend combines the adrenaline pumping nature of motorsport with live entertainment and activities for spectators, creating the perfect getaway for the whole family.

The Gulf Radical Cup arrives in Abu Dhabi on Saturday for the championship’s third round, with Alex Bukhantsov topping the leaderboard and aiming to defend his title in the coveted #1 car for TT Racing.

Sunday will witness the return of the historic racing series, Gulf ProCar Championship, alongside the dynamic racing series, UAE Time Attack, as well as the Clio Cup Middle East lining up on the grid during the first weekend of 2024.
