To make the Holy month of Ramadan truly meaningful this year, BOXPARK, the offbeat outdoor destination by Meraas, in association with Beit Al Khair Society will host an alternative Ramadan experience that encourages visitors to contribute generously to make a difference to the lives of orphans.

Implemented in partnership with Beit Al Khair Society, visitors to BOXPARK will be able to locate the unique ‘social swipe screen’ at the facility and make their donations by simply swiping their credit or debit card through the slot in the centre. All proceeds collected by the end of the Holy month will be donated to orphans through the charitable organisation.

In addition, a host of Iftar options are being planned across BOXPARK’s 29 dining outlets that will leave foodies spoilt for choice as they take a leisurely stroll across the asset that is set to be traditionally festooned with vibrant lanterns to mark the occasion. Families and friends looking for options to break their fast can head down to popular eateries such as Big Chefs Studio, Gossip Café and Yamaha Café as they whip up special menus for the month.

Turkish cuisine aficionados will love the three-course gastronomic Iftar menu put together by Big Chefs Studio featuring a selection of popular favourites such as the mezze platter for starters, roast leg of lamb and roasted harissa chicken for mains, and blueberry kunefe for dessert. Guests can enjoy the Iftar menu for AED149 per person from sunset to 11:00pm.

Those who prefer a traditional spread can head down to Gossip Café and choose from an Emirati platter for AED59, a Lebanese platter for AED61 and a Mediterranean platter for AED57 per person. In addition, guests can feast on a three, four and five course a-la-carte menu for AED160, AED195 and AED225 respectively.

To wrap up an Iftar spent well, diners can head down to Yamaha Café and sip on one of its special Ramadan beverages served along with Arabic sweets or a fruit salad.

Throughout the Holy month of Ramadan, BOXPARK will be open from Iftar to 2:00am for all food and beverage outlets, while retail outlets will close at 12:00 midnight.
