Dalma Mall – Being one of the most preferred shopping, retail and entertainment destinations in Mussafah Abu Dhabi, recently visited the Al Etihad Centre for Disabilities and distributed gifts and presents, through an event as part of its CSR duties.

At Dalma Mall, the focus on the CSR is not ancillary to the main aims, but rather, one of the core values that form a large part of Dalma Mall’s overarching mission and philosophy. The initiative is driven by the need to support and serve the community not only inside the mall but also outside it.  Dalma Mall believes firmly in the fact that we are all a part of this community and society and we consider ourselves responsible for its development, care and well being.

This event was held in the premises of the Al Etihad Centre for Disabilities. The event brought together the staff and team at Dalma Mall, alongside people with special needs themselves at the Al Etihad Centre.

Speaking about the event, Mrs. Abir Adel – Head of Operations & procurement / Project at Dalma Mall said, “It is important that we not only recognize and respect all people, but extend that recognition and respect through inclusive activities. Among the many people it helps and serves, the Al Etihad Centre for Disabilities helps people with disabilities. It is our great honour and pleasure to stand alongside the Centre, to put together this event for people with disabilities. In the days to come, we hope to expand the scope of our work in the Corporate Social Responsibility side.”

Sharing the happiness, Mr. Salah Al Sayed Ali – General Manager at the Al Etihad Centre for Disabilities, said, “We are very keen on establishing an important truth: that people with disabilities are human and have to be respected and treated equally. We are very happy to partner with Dalma Mall to bring together this event during the Week of the Deaf.”  The Al Etihad Centre for Disabilities is located in Abu Dhabi, and was established in 2012 as a non-profit institution offering Special Education and care for children with special needs and to foster and encourage the overall growth of children with special needs.
