Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai is excited to announce the appointment of the new Executive Chinese Chef, Chunlin Xu, for the hotel’s signature Chinese fine-dining restaurant, Shang Palace.

Chef Xu brings with him over 20 years of culinary experience in five-star hotels from around the globe, with previous experience in Dubai. Transferring from sister property Shangri-La, Pudong, Xu is excited to introduce a brand new menu with a strong focus on Shanghainese cuisine.

Get a taste of the new menu offering traditional bites which are all made fresh daily and in house. Guests can expect further authenticity with signature Shang Palace dishes prepared in a modern presentation. The highlight of Chef Xu’s menu is a live seafood option, where guests can choose from an array of fresh, live and delicious lobster, crab, garoupa or turbot ready to cook three ways upon selection, and with a choice of five sauces.
