Real estate asset management organisation salutes country’s flag on Flag Day

wasl demonstrated its pride in the UAE flag by participating in the nation’s Flag Day, which was commemorated on November 3. The company celebrated the occasion by covering its Mankhool headquarters with a huge UAE standard emblazoned with the Pan-Arab colours of red, green, white and black, which symbolise Arabian unity. The company used the event to call for a commitment from every citizen and resident to rededicate themselves to the nation.

“wasl is more than a renowned real estate organisation, it is an essential part of the fabric of society. As such, the company plays an important role in the life of the UAE, so it was an honour and a privilege to hoist the country’s shining emblem of unity over our headquarters. We call on everyone to use this anniversary to remember what the UAE has done for them and to redouble their efforts in building this great nation,” said H.E Hesham Al Qassim, CEO wasl Asset Management Group.

UAE’s Flag Day initiative is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the succession of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and comes just ahead of the country’s December 2 National Day. wasl’s patriotic event was in response to the call from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, for all national institutions and citizens to launch a campaign to honour the symbol of UAE identity. wasl’s tribute, which was attended by the company’s employees of all grades, involved the singing of the UAE national anthem as the flag was hoisted over the company’s headquarters. The patriotic event also saw a speech given by H.E. Hesham Al Qassim to the gathered employees and the distribution of UAE flags by the company across villas in Al Wasl road and Jumeirah.

“This was an emotional moment for everyone gathered at wasl headquarters. The draping of a huge UAE flag over our building was highly symbolic, as it represents how as a company we submit to the wise direction of our rulers. Seeing our flag of national pride covering our offices was both inspiring and humbling. We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the UAE leadership, past and present, for all they have done for the citizens and residents of the UAE. We would also like to applaud our wasl colleagues for taking time from their work commitments to honour and support this important occasion,” added Al Qassim.
