Dubai art aficionados are invited to witness a unique art experience by renowned artist Joel Van Moore aka Vans the Omega at the Dubai Properties developed and managed Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) on November 13th and 14th. Red Bull Curates: JBR, sees Vans the Omega teaming up with award winning, Dubai based light artists VJZARIA, who specialize in immersive light installations. This installation that marries art and technology will be the first of its kind in the Gulf region.

This would be the 1st art in a series of Red Bull Curates: JBR sessions aiming to bring international and inspiring art in all forms to JBR in Dubai. This year’s activity which will take place in the Rimal sector in JBR is expected to attract more than 50,000 people over a period of 2 days.

Vans the Omega has been creating and painting for over two decades, and is recognised for his attention to detail and search for perfection both in technique and life, which has helped advance the way in which the art form is created.

“It is exciting to welcome another new event to Dubai’s vibrant calendar of events” said Issam Kazim, CEO Dubai Corporation of Commerce and Tourism Marketing, “Events such as Red bull Curates, a first in this region, reflects the depth and diversity of events taking place in Dubai, one of the reasons we were named winner of the 2015 IFEA Festival and Events Global City” Kazim remarked.

Since the year 2000, he has been travelling the globe to perform live demonstrations and showcasing seemingly impossible patterns mixed with a traditional graffiti aesthetic to produce new innovative works which continue to push the boundaries and is viewed as a pioneer in his approach to the graffiti movement.

VJZARIA are a renowned duo of visual artists from Brazil, based in Dubai since 2012. Vinícius Luz and Edgar Salmen have been working together on video mapping, digital architecture and graffiti as VJs for over a decade. They strive for innovative creativity in their art, based on research and experimentation. The duo has worked on projects in more than 20 countries all over the world, recently winning first prize at Genius Loci Festival in Weimar, Germany.

Visitors will also be able to indulge in other festivities on the 13th and 14th of November, which falls over a weekend, and the event will include a variety of activities, food stations, a pop-up bazaar and other exciting installations all themed around a festival of lights.
