Thumbay Moideen Inaugurates First Drive-thru Outlet of Blends & Brews Coffee Shoppe in Ajman

The first drive-thru outlet of Blends & Brews Coffee Shoppe, the Dubai-born international brand of coffee shops under Thumbay Group’s Hospitality Division, was inaugurated at ‘The Black Square’ building in Ajman on Thursday, 1stSeptember 2016. The coffee shop was inaugurated by Mr. Thumbay Moideen – Founder President of Thumbay Group, in the presence of the members of Thumbay Group Board: Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay – Vice President of the Healthcare Division, Mr. Akram Moideen Thumbay – Director Operations of the Construction & Renovation Division, Mr. Moideen Farhad C – Director of the Hospitality Division and Mr. Nazeer Hussain Patayath – Director of Finance and Budget.

The drive-thru outlet serves the most delicious range of coffees, tea, signature drinks and savories, along with the brand’s popular range of sugar-free beverages, cakes and cookies. It extends Blends & Brews’ services and products to customers who would like to pick up their favorite beverages whilst on the road or to carry home.

Blends & Brews Coffee Shoppe launched its latest signature drinks at the function, namely Immune Booster (a delightful combination of carrot and apple juice) and Brownie Frappe. The function also witnessed the launch of Blends & Brews’ own android mobile application, which provides customers a ‘smart’ way of placing their orders. Customers at Blends & Brews can now browse the menu and place their orders online, which is instantly received at the coffee shop counter.

Mr. Thumbay Moideen said that the strategic plan of Thumbay Group includes the addition of 100 Blends & Brews outlets by 2020, and the extension of franchise offers to partners in countries including India and the MENA region. “The demand and customer base of Blends & Brews has grown over the years and we do not want to limit our presence. We are confident that our Dubai-born brand will find acceptance the world over,” he added.

Commenting on the new coffee shop, Mr. Farhad C. – Director of the Hospitality Division of Thumbay Group said, “The drive-thru facility at the new outlet offers great convenience to customers in terms of access, and it also saves them time. We plan to open many more drive-thru outlets soon.”

Blends & Brews has multiple outlets in Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ajman, in addition to its recent foray into India with a new outlet in Hyderabad. Blends & Brews Coffee Shoppe’s beverages have won many awards in various national and international competitions. Some of the awards include the ‘Best Signature Drink of the Year-2006’ award at the 1st UAE Barista Championship held at Dubai Trade Center in Association with DSS Summer Fiesta & ILLY Caffé, the “Platinum Award” at the Indian BARISTA Championship for the year 2007 organized by the Specialty Coffee Association of India & the Coffee Board of India. Blends & Brews Coffee Shoppe’s Barista represented the brand at the World Barista Championship in Tokyo, Japan in July 2007.
