The 14th edition of the Global Educational Supplies and Solutions (GESS) exhibition in Dubai concluded on a high note providing thousands of teaching professionals and school leaders access to the latest trends and developments from leading experts around the world.

The Middle East’s leading education show likewise enabled education focused-companies and brands to meet school decision-makers who are keen to invest on new equipment and supplies as well as acquire or upgrade digital learning products and solutions to stay competitive.

During the three-day event, exhibitors showcased innovative products and solutions in addition to advanced digital education tools, including robotics and AI-powered learning products. Exhibitors confirmed that the GESS Dubai exhibition proved to be an excellent platform to get leads for future business deals.

Ajoe Thomas, Senior Regional Manager of Creative Business Unit at Wacom said that the company was busy all throughout the exhibition and was looking forward to signing business deals out of this event. It has been the third time that Wacom, which specialises in graphics tablets and related products, has participated in GESS Dubai.

Muhammad Tahir Azhar, Business Development Manager, Wsael Almothalath, said, “The exhibition was a great experience as we met potential customers from different Gulf countries.” Wsael provides nurseries and schools with early learning materials, furniture, and playground equipment. “Our goal is to offer learning establishments the highest quality products to provide the best and safest learning materials for every child,” he added.

The three-day witnessed deals and partnerships signed between local and international companies and a few educational institutions in the Gulf region.

One was signed at the Saudi Arabia Pavilion for digital collaboration between Dubai-based Digival and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Alameya to provide colleges and universities in the Kingdom with tailor-made AI-based technologies that will deliver courses thereby assuring quality in learning, teaching, and assessment processes.

In addition to big companies and suppliers, around 10 startups showcased their products and solutions at GESS Dubai this year.

Daria Levchyshyna from Student10x, said that her company runs an e-Commerce site of educational supplies that offers A to Z products to schools. The Dubai-based company participated for the first time in GESS. “We met school leaders from around the region and are happy to take discussions forward beyond the event. It truly was a fruitful stint for us,” Levchyshyna said.

Another company Innov8 Tech Education Services, a KHDA approved STEAM education solution provider, aims to bridge the education and technology gap.

Its CEO and Founder, Farida Dhambolawala said that the response to the exhibition was amazing. “We met people from different parts of the world which will help us to expand globally.

GESS Dubai featured more than 140 speakers and over 150 CPD accredited sessions, including 400 local and international companies that showcased their products and solutions to thousands of education professionals and school leaders who attended the event.

“It’s great to see the whole education community coming together again and moving forward as we confirm that GESS Dubai return to Sheikh Saeed Halls in November 2022,” Matt Thompson, Project Director, Tarsus, organisers of the GESS global portfolio of education shows in Dubai, Indonesia and Turkey.
